I don't much like the other Margaret Atwood books I've read so I've resisted so far even though the subject looks interesting (I obsessively read all the Greek myths when I was young).Maxine Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06628509319992204770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3464391602453126338.post-33444633262570849042012-02-02T13:28:58.859-05:002012-02-02T13:28:58.859-05:00I wasn't sure what to expect for a retelling o...I wasn't sure what to expect for a retelling of a myth I'd never read before. I have to say I did not take to it - I thought the writing was good in itself, but the story of the thin child did not somehow ring true to me, and the Norse myth sections seemed unfocused. I was rather disappointed, actually, given the author's reputation and my interest in Scandinavia in general.Maxine Clarkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06628509319992204770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3464391602453126338.post-17919615776811205452012-02-01T16:22:55.953-05:002012-02-01T16:22:55.953-05:00I hope you like it, Sarah.I hope you like it, Sarah.RebeccaKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14720581274534125405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3464391602453126338.post-48739227000394968282012-02-01T14:17:31.106-05:002012-02-01T14:17:31.106-05:00Sounds like a good book and yours is the first rev...Sounds like a good book and yours is the first review that I've read.
